Formless

Formless puts the choice of track into the play itself. Its two modular components use a four-sided track system, so flipping or rotating the pieces changes which surfaces meet. Slide through one pairing, turn a component over, and assemble another route. The same two pieces give you something different to investigate without changing the basic sliding action.

There are two pleasures here: following a track and deciding what to put together next. Keep a favorite pairing in place, or pause between sequences to inspect the other surfaces. The change of configuration becomes a small mechanical puzzle, followed by the practical business of seeing how it moves. Formless keeps its alternatives tucked into the parts already in your hand. A little curiosity is enough to give the next stroke another direction.
