Y2K Disk

Y2K Disk Pro – Akira packs several ways to play into a body that looks borrowed from a miniature machine. Work the densely spaced mechanical track, switch to the six-stage magnetic ball track, then turn it over to explore the rear rotor and its higher- and lower-pitched feedback. Each mechanism gives your fingers a different route through the same object, from linear movement to rotation.

A separate tuning-fork component adds another motion to explore: flicking. Around those moving parts, the red-and-black body brings together brass-toned warning stripes, grille details, screws, and button-like textures. The cyberpunk character comes through in those small details, while the mechanisms keep the design in motion. Follow one interaction for a while, or let the next moving part steal your attention.
